Intelligent Switch Unit – Geyser Control
ISG0801
The Intelligent Switch (Geyser Control) is designed to prevent geysers from operating during parts of Eskom designated peak times morning and evening. As with the Intelligent Switch (Swimming Pool Pump Control), the use of the ISG0801 will result in sizable savings for consumers, and much more efficient use of power from the national grid.
The ISG0801 not only monitors movement in the premises and automatically adjusts the geyser cycle according to the tenants lifestyle, but also gives the consumer total peace of mind by turning the geyser off after 18 hours of inactivity (indicating no presence), and turning it back on again (regardless of peak period zone) when occupation is detected after any prolonged inactivity phase (above).
The ISG0801 provides hands-off load shifting and an excellent reduction of energy consumption that is attractive to both energy providers and consumers, resulting in significant monthly energy account savings.
The ISG0801 works on all types of geysers and is solar ready, integrating seamlessly with solar geysers, heat pumps and alternative energy devices.
The ISG0801 also boasts integrated ‘soft start-up’ intelligence which prevents all geysers from restarting simultaneously immediately after resumption of power following a power cut-off (load-shedding). This random sequenced ‘soft start’ greatly reduces the current surges experienced when bringing regions back on to the national grid.
