Intelligent Switch Unit (Swimming Pool Pump Control) ISP0901
The Intelligent Switch (Swimming Pool Pump Control) is designed to prevent swimming pool pumps from operating during Eskom designated peak times morning and evening. With proposed dual-tariff billing aimed at allowing municipalities to bill at higher rates during these critical peak periods, the use of the ISP0901 by consumers will result in sizable savings for consumers, and much more efficient use of power from the national grid.
Aside from ensuring that swimming pool pumps are NOT on during ESKOM’s designated peak periods the ISP0901 also initiates a random delay of up to 1.5 hours on resumption of power after a power interruption, which alleviates surge related problems associated with the load shedding process. The device also has a consumer “comfort override” giving users a final say in load control.
The ISP0901 replaces existing timers.
